far from Precious Light Temple, this park used to be
the residence of a Ming Dynasty scholar by the name
of Yang Sheng’an (1488-1559). The lake here is
surrounded by osmanthus trees with a huge expense of
lotuses on the water. The perfume of the lotus
blossoms in summer is followed by the sweet smell of
the osmanthus flowers in autumn. With palaces,
pavilions, and terraces scattered among green trees
by the lakeside, the park is a charming place to
visit.
